What to Expect
Before your appointment together we’ll discuss your hair- What you would like to see in your hair and any concerns you have with your current hair style. We’ll talk about what products your using, your current washing & styling routine. We’ll help the best we can to advise you and will try our best to give you what you want. We want to make sure you are feeling confident about our plan that we come up with together.
Your Curly Cut is started as a Dry Cut. This is where you get your basic shape. When we do a Curly Cut, we take your curl types and textures into consideration so we can give you the best haircut possible. Most of the time only scissors are used, but depending on your hair type, curl factor and style we may use a comb.
This is where your Curl Transformation begins. We begin with your Curlbath (cleanser) depending on your curl type and texture. After the wash, we will follow up with a Conditioner or a Deep Conditioner, depending on what we have discussed. Correct product application is important to beautiful, defined, healthy curls, so I’ll go over how best to use your products. In the salon, We mainly use Innersense but also use DevaCurl as we see fit.
After your appointment We want you to be able to recreate this look at home! We’ll show you how to best use your products and will try to make this routine simple and easy to do. Afterwards we’ll either pop you under the dryer or diffuse your hair.
Once your hair is dry we’ll go back to your hair and check your cut one more time and see if any adjustments need to be made. At this point we’ll talk about next day hair and answer any other questions you may have.
Please keep in mind…
A great curly cut should last you about 2 to 3 months. After that time your hair will begin to lose its shape and will probably start getting frizzy, unmanageable or tangled. We highly recommend booking your appointment before you leave to guarantee you have something ready and set up and you wont have to wait months before you can get in.
