Your Appointment

Before You come in.

    1. Come with your hair in its natural curl

  • The better I can see your curl, how it lays and what your hairstyle currently looks like, the more I can give you what you are looking for as well as tips you can do at home for your specific hair type
    2. Please bring any pictures or ideas you have.

  • I definitely want to see the look you’re going for. If you have any pictures of past haircuts that you really liked or have something that’s similar to what you want bring them. It gives me a better idea as to how to achieve your desired result.
    3. If you have any questions or concerns…

  • Please feel free to call or text me at any time (801) 396-0137. I may not get back to you at that very moment but I will do my best to get back to you within 24 hours of you contacting me or before your appointment- whichever comes first.

What to Expect.

    1. Consultation:

  • Together we’ll discuss your hair. What you would like to see in your hair and any concerns you have with your current hair style. I will help the best I can to advise you and will try my best to give you what you want.
    2. DevaCut/Curly Cut:

  • The DevaCut is started as a Dry Cut. This is where we give you your basic shape. Most of the time only scissors are used, but depending on your hair type, curl factor and style we may use a comb.
    3. DevaWash:

  • The wash is typically given after the cut. You will receive instruction for washing you hair as well as some tips to help maintain your curl at home. For curly hair I only use the DevaCurl product.
    4. Style:

  • I will show you how to use and apply the product. Then we’ll go into clipping and drying your hair.
    5. Review:

  • Once your hair is dry we will go back to the chair and check your haircut one more time and see if any adjustments need to be made.

Tips for Home Care.

  • Shampoo your scalp- small circles to work in the product (give yourself a nice head massage).
  • Condition the rest of your hair to the ends- make sure it feels slippery.
  • Don’t rinse it all out- low pressure water.
  • When working in the product remember squish and blot.
  • Use a microfiber towel or a t-shirt.
  • Clip from bottom of curl -> up to lift roots.
  • If diffusing- Use low heat, low air.

As your hairstylist, I want to make sure you receive the best experience possible.
