After your visit
Once you’ve had your fresh DevaCut you might wonder “how am I going to replicate this at home?” The trick is practice. I will do my best to make it easy for you to redo that style but it comes with time and practice. The more you care for your hair the better it will react. Using professional products will also change the outcome of your hair.
Take time to thoroughly work the conditioner into your hair.
Overnight, it is recommended to sleep on a silk/satin pillow case or you can use a silk/satin bonnet or headwrap. Those with longer hair, a pineapple can also do the trick
For second day hair- spritzing your hair with a mix of water combined with gel/conditioner or both, scrunching then either air drying or diffusing will help refresh your curls.
Shampoo your scalp- small circles to work in the product (give yourself a nice head massage).
Condition the rest of your hair to the ends- make sure it feels slippery.
Don’t rinse it all out- low pressure water.
With your hair wet, lightly glaze your styling product over the top and bottom of your hair then work it in by scrunching the product into your hair.
Squeeze out all the excess water with your hands
Gently scrunch and blot out any leftover water with a microfiber towel or t-shirt.
Clip from bottom of curl up to lift the roots or diffuse.
If diffusing- Use low/medium heat, low air.
As your hairstylist, I want to make sure you receive the best experience possible.
